The Suwannee River is a beautiful attraction that residents and tourists love. The river stretches 246 miles from Southern Georgia to the Gulf of Mexico. Not only is this river refreshing and beautiful, it is full of history. Paleo Indians, Spanish explorers, settlers, and Confederate Soldiers all left their footprint on the Suwannee. At Troy Springs State Park, visitors can see remaining fragments of the steamship Madison which belonged to captain James Tucker.

The Suwannee River is home to the Suwannee River State Park and the Troy Springs State Park. These parks are two of many beautiful locations to visit along the river. Suwanee is known for its natural springs and river campsites for lodging. Another attraction to see on the Suwannee River, is the caves at Lime Sink Run. The river has both dry and flooding seasons which means sometimes these caves are admired underwater. There are over 300 natural springs on the Suwannee River.

Not only does Suwannee have endless outdoor adventures to offer, they have a great school district. The Suwannee County School District includes 4 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, and 3 high schools. The school district has various events, festivals, and recreational opportunities making it great for families. The district serves around 6,200 students.

Columbia County

Poole Reality also serves Columbia County which includes the cities of Fort White, Lake City, and Watertown. Columbia County, much like Suwannee County has beautiful springs, great schools, and amazing activities.
