At Troy Springs State Park, visitors can see remaining fragments of the steamship Madison which belonged to captain James Tucker.

In Live Oak, you can enjoy the Little River Springs county park. The park contains 125 acres along the Suwannee River. Not only does Suwannee have endless outdoor adventures to offer, they have a great school district. The Suwannee County School District includes 4 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, and 3 high schools. The school district has various events, festivals, and recreational opportunities making it great for families. The district serves around 6,200 students.
