Poole Realty is pleased to welcome into its family of realtors Denise Anna Ek! This Swedish-born lady arrived in Suwannee County in 2022 ready to take on new challenges in her life as a realtor and quickly decided Poole Realty was the place she wanted to be part of as she began her journey in real estate. “I had friends who were realtors, and when I still lived in Sweden, I always thought this was my calling,” Denise says. Now, it’s become a longed for reality! Denise worked for the Swedish government until she came to America six years ago, then for Publix for four years in Central Florida. Prior to her leaving Publix she began seeking her real estate certification before moving to Suwannee County. Having grown up in Sweden on her grandfather’s farm where they had horses, chickens, dogs and cats, Denise would walk to her farmer grandfather’s house from her home on his land. “That’s how I grew up! That’s why I like it up here, it feels like home!” she says of living in Suwannee County. “One day I’m going to buy land and have horses like when I grew up! I want to get all that again in my life!” Denise is fluent in both English and Swedish languages. When you meet Denise, you will not hear a Swedish accent as she had taken the English of America wholeheartedly! Now she’s trying to learn to speak the “language” of Southerners and loving every minute of it! This now Southern resident loves Suwannee County, animals, country life, real estate and helping you find your new dream spot whether it is a forever home, investment property or a commercial property for your new business adventure.
